“As an artist, I have always been drawn to explore and celebrate Black cultures around the world.”
- Aleccia s.
Aleccia Sinae is from South Carolina, perfecting her craft on any surface she can touch. Her work is inspired by diverse cultures worldwide, manifesting through nature, scenic landscapes, and exquisite figures. Primarily an oil-based painter, Aleccia occasionally explores watercolor, gouache, and other media. What began as a hobby has evolved into her profession. An alumna of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Graphic Design,
Aleccia aspires to establish her own gallery and design studio upon graduation. She delights in translating her visions onto canvas and enjoys creating and revamping brand identities, exploring typography, print, and packaging design. Her creativity knows no bounds; she experiments freely across various media, often clad in her favorite blue denim shirt; a memento from her motherˇs pregnancy. Aleccia sculpts, paints, designs, and continually
seeks new artistic challenges.
˝As an artist, I have always been drawn to explore and celebrate Black cultures around the world. This is not commercial. These paintings capture unforgettable moments that express the raw emotion, powerful harmony, and beauty unique to these cultures. I was influenced by many movies growing up, which taught me how to capture Black stories through a cinematic lens. The smallest moments can mean so much, and through my work, I aim to show how my imagination interprets the realities of life through painting.
