understanding your archetype will help guide you through this course.
Before we dive into the practical strategies for building visibility, I want you to have a clearer understanding of where you are today and where you hope your creative practice will take you.
Throughout this course, you'll notice that I often refer back to the artist archetypes. That's because visibility isn't one-size-fits-all. The way a community educator builds influence may look very different from the way an emerging artist attracts collectors, or how an established artist positions themselves for museum opportunities or public commissions.
Understanding your archetype gives you a lens through which to view the lessons ahead. It helps you decide which opportunities are worth pursuing, which audiences matter most, what kind of content you should create, and where you should invest your time and energy.
Most importantly, I want you to remember that these archetypes are not labels. They are simply tools for reflection and direction. As your goals evolve, you may move between several of them, and that's exactly what growth looks like.
As you continue through this course, I encourage you to return to your archetype often. Let it help you filter advice, make decisions with greater confidence, and build a version of visibility that feels aligned with the artist and the future you are creating.
